Life Care Center of Elyria, Ohio, recently earned a five-star rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
The CMS ratings system is designed to assist the public in choosing care for their loved ones. It calculates ratings based on results of health inspections, staffing and quality measures (including pain management, pressure ulcers, weight loss and falls).
“I am proud of the entire team’s focus on customer service and providing quality care to the residents we serve,” said Douglas McDermott, executive director. “It is very satisfactory to have earned the status of five stars along with the annual state survey that was deficiency-free. I feel truly blessed and proud to be a part of this very exceptional team that is achieving Life Care’s mission.”
The rating officially posted on the CMS website in fall 2017.
